Shipibo Art House

Kené & kewé.

Kené is the design; kewé is the design embroidered into being. Serious art with named makers — never anonymous "tribal design."

A precise vocabulary of beauty

Four words where English has one.

Metsá — pretty. Sankén — intricately beautiful, the quality of fine designwork. Soí — lustrous, soft-shining beauty. Pené — bright, shiny. A culture that lives inside geometric design needs — and has — words this exact.

How the market works

Named. Priced. Paid.

Every piece shows who made it, their community, the materials, what the artist receives, and the platform's commission. Artists control descriptions, licensing, and prices. Reproduction rights are never included unless explicitly granted.

Commissions

Commission a work

Textiles, paintings, murals — commissioned directly from Shipibo artists through our contacts, with a deposit up front and the artist's own timeline.
