Seven dimensions of being

By the end you can name the parts of a person as Shipibo describes them.

A person is more than a body. The teaching lists seven dimensions:

  • yora — the body
  • shinan — mind and psyche
  • joi — the voice, also the word for language itself
  • kaya — the soul
  • kano — connection structure
  • niwe — wind-like energy
  • nete — universe, day, time-space

Healing may address any of the seven. That is why a healer’s questions sound nothing like a clinician’s.
