Greetings

One pattern covers your first word in any encounter: jakón (good) + the time of day. Morning: Jakón yamékiri. Afternoon: Jakón yantán. To welcome people in — Bekanwe! — come!
Culture note. Gatherings open this way — and people are welcomed in with bekanwe! as they arrive. Inside jakón hides a worldview: ja, to exist, plus -kon, truth — good means true to life. Its opposite, jakóma, is simply not-true-to-life.
