Three things and you can read every word in this course. One: o is not “oh” — it is the vowel in English book, so jakón is ha-KOON. Two: j is a breathy English h. Three: the accent mark shows the stressed syllable, and it matters — moving it can change the word. That's it. The next lesson gives you the full sound system, including the one other letter that catches everybody.
